# Cry Out, "Hosanna!"

Our **witness** to the world: + **stones** of memorial attesting to His power + Disciples **prepared** a + seemingly **dissonant** procession for Him: --- And they brought it to Jesus,
and throwing their cloaks on the **colt**,

**righteous** and having **salvation** is he, **humble** and mounted on a **donkey**,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey. 看哪,你的王來到你這裡!

Jesus as **Messiah**/Christ: + it's why Pharisees took **offense** + But didn't realize what **kind** of King + In fact, not even the **disciples** understood + **how** Christ was to bring salvation: Lk18 --- And taking the **twelve**, he said to them,
“See, we are going up to **Jerusalem**, and
everything that is **written** about the Son of Man

This saying was **hidden** from them,
and they did not **grasp** what was said. 這些事門徒一樣也不懂得,

他們不曉得所說的是甚麼。 [Luke 路加 18:31,34 (ESV/CUV) (p.2/2)](# "ref") >>> + Disciples, even as **helped fulfill** prophecy, misunder + Theme mid-Luke: misunder **kingdom** of God, Messiah + Jesus was a man well-acquainted with **sorrows** + v41-44 **wept** over Jerusalem + her failure to **recognize** her day of redemption + He **knew** the suffering He was about to go through + Jesus is the **victorious** conquerer, strong to **save** + but **how** He did it was by **humbling** Himself + in **obedience** to Father's plan, **sacrifice** for sins + If this is how my **Master** and **Shepherd** walked, + will I **choose** to follow in His steps? + Will I choose the path of **humility**? + (if response is, "I'm **already** humble enough!") --- >>> + Every day, **stressors** that challenge us: + **Project** doesn't go as planned + **Kids** / parents don't do what I tell them + **Insulted**, belittled, or laughed at + No **choice** how others treat me, but choose how I **respond** + e.g., when young, single, **hot-headed**: stressed by **church** + Lined up reasons + verses **why** I'm right + Told mom I had **decision**: play hardball or soft + Mom **laughed** gently: why is it even a **question**? + If Jesus demonstrated that **humility** + submission + to God's plan is **stronger** than aggression + Will I make the same choice? --- # Will I **choose** the path of **humility**? # 我會選擇謙卑

to **rejoice** and praise God with a loud voice

that I may enter through them
